the whole deal with the sonogram issue we had 2 months ago (previous blog posting) is: NO we cant just go get another sonogram done just because of what happened. (i should have said that last time because so many people said "can't you just go get another one?") UM NO. insurance does not just pay for any old sonogram any old time, there has to be a medical reason to have one done. the good news is that baby is doing well, so well, in fact that the drs can't find any medical reason to send me for another one, because not even one measurement is off by even the slightest, meaning that baby is growing, well, perfectly! but that also means that although they would have done a girl a favor and try to find a small reason to send me to another sono appt so that we could try again to find out the sex and have insurance cover it, there just wasn't even any small reason for them to write down on a referral! 

the goal of doing sonograms from a medical standpoint is NOT to find out the baby's sex. it's to measure it and find out if its growing how it should be. the goal of going to the BIG sonogram appt i had a couple months ago, from a PARENT'S standpoint is usually to find out their baby's gender. the drs could care less whether its a boy or a girl, as long as it's healthy. baby sperry #2 is definitely doing well and is healthy, and now we would just really like to know whether we should paint over the pretty lavender color in lexi's old room and invest in buying boy clothes, or if we can sit back and envision our baby wearing lexi's cute but outgrown old clothes. :)

so. we have decided to opt for a special 3D/4D sonogram experience, which we have scheduled for this saturday the 27th, a little christmas present for ourselves. we did it when I was pregnant with lexi too, and it was well worth the money. so we want to do it again for our second one too, and a major bonus is that our families, all of which live in other states, can view it LIVE with us, while its being done, on their computer screens at their own homes! HOW COOL IS THAT.

in other news, i, um, have been slacking on posting blog entries on here about lexi's latest pictures, and i totally forgot about posting one for last month, but here i am now to say LEXI'S NEWEST PICTURES ARE UP ON PICASA: 20, 21 & some 22 month photos, basically from halloween to christmas and everything inbetween. as always, the link to the pictures is on the same page of this blog entry and the name tags are updated. if you are reading this in your email, click on the blog site link provided at the bottom of this email message.

i also cleaned up the "lexi loves" section, the wish list, and put up some more pregnancy & sonogram photos. :)
